I’m new to blogging. I started my first blog, yikbo.com, seven months ago. I write movie reviews. (In seven months I’ve posted over 60 reviews. Jealous?) I love my blog. It’s hard work writing about movies all the time, especially since I’m not a professional film critic. (In fact, I’ve seen something like six theatrical releases over Christmas and I haven’t posted about a single one of them.)
I had been contemplating a second, more personal blog, but hadn’t done much with the notion except stake out this domain.
This evening I went to a movie and ran into an old friend. In conversation she brought up my movie blog, but says she didn’t really care for it. She said she’d read a blog about me, not what I watch. I didn’t know how to take that–I work really hard writing reviews, and I kind of like the impersonality of being an anonymous critic. But I could see her point. Maybe I really am more awesome than I think I am. (60% joking.)
So here it is. I promise nothing.

I love it, I love it, I love it! You’re way to funny to waste on movie criticism. I can’t wait to read your thoughts on the world.
And PS – I didn’t really care for Seven Pounds. Technically I cried but the life lesson I “learned” isn’t one I think we should be teaching. I’m certain the Atonement of Jesus Christ is a better way to deal with our mistakes.

It is so nice to know about your life without having to actually call you. So nice. lol.
I remember a champ who ran almost everyday in college. Not to mention the less than intense racquet ball games. Proud you have resorted to a New Year’s resolution.
Your blogs are super funny.
